President & Founder
Akinyi Odongo is a Fashion household and a brand name in the global fashion industry. As a leader and talent nurturer, she has attained high stakeholding forte in mentoring fashion leaders and entrepreneurs locally regionally and globally.
Akinyi has over 20years successful experience in leading and managing within the fashion industry while administering and applying her blue print principles in her work ethics.
She is a strategic & innovative business owner and partner with expertise in managing cross sectional areas in fashion industry, including entrepreneurial, technical, academia mentoring, coaching and business engineering and reengineering process with a high relationship stakeholding management in both corporate, SME’s, public, private and international bodies.
Akinyi brings a wealth of experience in Fashion Creation, leadership and management, coaching and speaking engagement, mentoring and directing in business strategy, board and institutional formation &management.
Akinyi holds multiple leadership roles as the First & current Chairperson of Kenya Fashion Council, she has founded Fashion Agenda Africa, Akinyi Odongo KENYA TM, MEFA Institute of Designs, Wana Watindo including other start ups.
In her latest active role with Kenya fashion Council as the first Chairperson of the council she has been credited with the formation and pioneering the Council’s agenda, advocacy of the vision, forging partnership and creating awareness of its goal in the past 4 years till to date.
Paul Ndirangu Simiyu (CPAK)
Finance
Currently pursuing Masters in Business administration (Finance) JKUA, and Certificate in Human Resource Management (CHRM). Holds Bachelor of Art degree in Sociology and History. Over 15 years’ experience in Finance and administration. Consulted vastly in Business projections, Set-up in accounting systems, a Trainer in accounts related fields. He has worked with private firms, Not for profit entities, churches and startups. He is an active member of ICPAK.
Ciruma Mbare
Special Programmes
Ciruma Mbare is a key industry player in the Kenya fashion Industry. Educated to Masters level in Fashion Communication,
Sustainable Fashion Entrepreneurship and Fashion Styling from a top university in London. Ms. Mbare is currently based in Nairobi offering Fashion Consultation services to help move the local fashion industry forward to international levels.
Ciruma has a passion for sustainable fashion, a cause she researches, writes and speaks about; she has organized many projects working within the sustainable fashion sector in Africa.
With regard to fashion styling, her eye for detail, ability to modernize African aesthetics, unique understanding of the global consumer & how to engage them sets her style apart and has won her international awards in the film industry.
Ciruma’s personal styling services transforms the lives of women helping them to become the best version of themselves by building their self confidence and body image. She also offers group Image Training for corporate companies and social organizations.
Ms. Mbare is multi talented, multifaceted and highly passionate, making her a valuable asset to the team and to the fashion industry in Kenya, and Africa.
